MPATH is a unique, immersive, palliative certificate program for massage therapists.
MPATH is a nine-month program that combines online instruction and an externship with a palliative care team in the therapist’s area.

Massage therapists with palliative training communicate clearly, partner with other providers, and participate in care planning.
They take responsibility for their own emotions and their role in the care of the patients they serve.
They understand that the true value of massage therapy lies in deep clinical knowledge combined with compassion, communication, and collaboration.
MPATH creates the conditions for massage therapists to deliver on the promise of their discipline in the setting of serious illness.

We touch people affected by illness. We teach massage therapists how to provide care safely and effectively. We advocate for access to that care and for a broader role for massage therapists in healthcare.
